VLA’s 2023-2024 Lottery has closed

Welcome and thank you for your interest in Village Leadership Academy. Our lottery application for the 2023-2024 school year closed on Friday, February 24, 2023, at 11:59 pm. Our lottery was held on March 3, 2023, at 1:00 pm.

2023 ENROLLMENT

The Village Leadership Academy (VLA) 2023-2024 lottery opened on January 9, 2023, and closed on February 24, 2023. However, VLA currently has open slots available in all classrooms.

Enrollment Lottery Information

The Idaho Legislature established the lottery process for charter school admission through Idaho Code Statute 33-5206. All applicants are placed into grade-level-specific ‘Lottery Priority Groups' as follows and are drawn in order based on these groupings:

First Priority – children of founders and full-time employees

Second Priority – siblings of students already enrolled or selected by the lottery

Third Priority – students who reside within the Boise School District boundary

Fourth Priority – students who reside outside of the Boise School District boundary

Enrollment Offers

Our lottery will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023. Families receiving placement at Village Leadership Academy for the 2023-2024 school year will be notified within 24 hours via email.

Enrollment after the Lottery

After the lottery, applications can still be submitted. Students will be placed on the waitlist and offers of enrollment will be offered as spots become available.




Village Leadership Academy is a K-8 tuition-free public charter school open to any student regardless of race, color, national or ethnic origin, religious affiliation, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, social or economic status, and/or special needs. All enrolled students regardless of background are afforded the same rights, privileges, programs, and activities available to all students, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Age Discrimination Act of 1975.
